Twitter (X) typically takes 24 hours to prepare your data archive, though it can sometimes take longer depending on account size and platform load. You'll receive an email notification when your archive is ready to download. The download link in that email is only valid for a limited time (usually a few days), so make sure to download it promptly. If you miss the download window, you'll need to request a new archive and wait another 24+ hours. This delay is significantly longer than most other messaging platforms and is one of the main frustrations with Twitter's export process.
